The Being Luminary Approach

Welcome to "The Being Luminary Approach" – a unique, human-first way of thinking about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies. Our approach provides a safe, guilt-free, and blameless environment where all participants are encouraged and expected to engage fully regardless of their backgrounds or viewpoints.

In a world where DEI work often encounters hurdles of fear, discomfort, or exclusion, our approach is designed to include everyone. Here, outliers and sceptics don't sit outside the scope of work; instead, they are part of the conversation, contributing to a collective drive towards positive change.

The Being Luminary Short Course is a purely online course designed for utmost flexibility and accessibility. A downloadable and fillable workbook supports each module or session of this six-part program. These workbooks are your primary learning guides, designed to be interactive and engaging.

Each workbook is paired with a series of videos and short recorded lectures to supplement your learning.

These multimedia resources provide further depth and context to the topics at hand, allowing you to better understand and apply the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in your professional environment.

The Being Luminary Programme Short Course

The events of Spring 2020 led many organisations to reassess the efficacy of their work in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Equalities legislation amendments in the UK have, over time, resulted in this crucial work slipping down the priority list. There's a heightened awareness now of the vast scope of DEI work needed across various sectors – in our schools, colleges, charities, healthcare settings, and across public and private sector organisations. The question is no longer what needs to be done, but how to organise and structure a sustainable approach to this work. This six-session programme is designed to ensure that individuals and teams in organisations become compliant, robust, and capable of enacting luminary diversity, equity, and inclusion practices. It provides the necessary tools and strategies to effectively structure and sustain DEI work.
